SAN ANTONIO, TX- September 23, 2003

AmeriCorp, acting as a major sponsor, attended the National Foundation for Credit Counseling’s (NFCC) 38th Annual Leaders Conference held in San Antonio, Texas. Freddie Mac and MasterCard RPPS joined AmeriCorp in support of the nation’s longest serving and largest nonprofit credit counseling organization. Timothy McCallan was on hand to preside at the company’s exhibit, presenting services that complemented the conference discourse on how to transform the credit counseling industry “from a cottage business to a global industry.”

For over fifty years, NFCC’s non-profit member agencies, often known as Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS), have stood for such high standards as agency accreditation, counselor certification, and policies that make possible free or low-cost services.
